Kevin previously held leadership roles at Arete Advisors, Westfield Insurance, and Diebold, where he architected information security programs and supported global financial institutions. Known for balancing compliance, risk, and business objectives, he delivers practical, results-oriented security leadership.
As CISO Emeritus at Fortress SRM, Kevin provides strategic guidance on internal security programs and helps shape the firm’s approach to advisory, co-managed security, and enterprise risk management.

As Chief Information Security Officer at Fortress SRM, he leads the company’s cybersecurity strategy, overseeing risk management, compliance, and enterprise resilience. He applies his expertise across the organization, guiding teams, managing risk, and fostering a culture of security aligned with business goals while strengthening security and supporting business growth.

Over 15 years in high-tempo military operations, he held an active TS/SCI clearance, tracked North Korean cyber threats and led teams making high-stakes decisions in complex, time-sensitive environments. He also spent 15 years building and leading private sector security programs, advancing from SOC analyst to acting CISO and leading an insider threat and CERT team at a MetLife subsidiary.
As CTO of Fortress SRM, Donovan leads the technical vision, architecture, and lifecycle execution of managed security services. He defines and delivers the technology roadmap, aligning platforms, partnerships, and operations with evolving threats, client risk profiles, and real-world business constraints.
